Small beginnings

It all started in the 1930s with a simple hand punch that was used to punch out numbers and letters for labeling sportswear. This small punching shop grew rapidly and soon became one of the largest felt pressing companies in the United States.

Innovation and expansion

To simplify the application of die-cut letters and numbers, the company began experimenting with adhesives. STAHLS' innovative spirit paid off. The resulting heat-sealing adhesive was patented and still forms the basis for most of STAHLS' films today. The company expanded into Canada, Australia and Europe, where STAHLS' Europe GmbH was founded with headquarters in Dillingen/Saar.

With the founding of Hotronix®, the specific requirements of thermal textile printing could finally be met - both for smaller commercial customers and for large companies.
