Step by step - This is How we decorate your textile

Are you interested in our textile printing process? Here you can read how we decorate a typical shirt.

STEP 1: Set-Up

We use a different press depending on the textile you want to have printed. The Hotronix® Fusion IQ is best suited for a single T-shirt. We set the press according to the material of the transfer ordered. By using a high-quality heat press, we can guarantee that every print will be a success.

STEP 2: Placement of the garment

The T-shirt is now pulled onto the lower platen of the press. For other textiles with uneven areas or when printing sleeves, we also use a pressure pad. This allows any bumps to be evened out during printing.

STEP 3: Pre-Pressing

To remove all residual moisture from the textile, we pre-press it for a few seconds. This ensures that the T-shirt is perfectly prepared and that any creases are smoothed out.

STEP 4: Placement of the transfer

Your transfer is placed with the help of a template. We use templates to guarantee uniform placement even with large quantities. Each print has its own template. It doesn't matter whether it's a neck label or a chest print.

STEP 5: Cover Sheet

Once the transfer has been placed, the template can be removed. We then place a cover sheet on the transfer. This protects both the press and the transfer.

STEP 6: Printing

The press can now be closed. With the Hotronix® Air Fusion IQ, the time counts down automatically after closing. In the meantime, the press heats the textile evenly to the set temperature. This causes the adhesive layer on the transfer to liquefy and fuse with the textile. After the time has elapsed, the press opens automatically and prevents the transfer from heating up for too long.

STEP 7: Removal of the carrier

Depending on the material of the transfer, the backing can now be removed hot, lukewarm or cold. Our employees are careful during this step because some textiles require a short re-pressing.

STEP 8: Re-Pressing

Not every printing process is the same and some textiles bond more easily with the transfer than others. If our employee feels that your transfer needs to be pressed again when printing, they will close the press again for a maximum of 5 seconds. It is particularly important to use a cover sheet when re-pressing without a backing so as not to damage the already finished T-shirt. The transfer is now optimally printed onto the T-shirt thanks to the re-pressing.

STEP 9: Quality control

Every finished print is checked again by our trained staff. The motto here is “No print leaves the factory without being checked”. The prints you order from us and have printed on your shirts are machine washable and generally last a lifetime.
